Kathy has completed a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Microbiology and Genetics, an Honours degree in Microbiology and a Master of Education at the University of Melbourne.

In 2001, Kathy joined the NRL as a member of the Postmarket Monitoring team. She is the Principal External Quality Assessment (EQAS) Coordinator, and coordinates Serology EQAS. She is also the PRISM QC Programme Coordinator, and serves as the Quality Manager Deputy.

She enjoys reading, listening to music, going to the movies.
