Terri, born in Berlin, has a background in veterinary science. Many of her early years in the work force were spent specialising in poultry health. Terri later worked with small animals, first in Turkey, and then in Australia in private practice, with the RSPCA, and at Lort Smith Animal Hospital.

Terri recently returned to study, and completed a post-graduate diploma in medical science at RMIT, majoring in microbiology and haematology. She joined NRL in 2008, as part of the Tertiary Reference Testing Team.

In her spare time, Terri enjoys spending time at the beach with family and friends, skiing the slopes in winter, playing tennis, and reading and attending major sporting events like the Aust Open Grand Slam. She is also occasionally dragged to AFL games to watch her partner's beloved Magpies
