About the Website

The NRL is excited to have a presence on the World Wide Web. Our goal is to provide the public, transfusion and diagnostic laboratories, HIV and HCV therapeutic programmes, researchers, the pharmaceutical industry and government with easy access to information about the activities and outputs of the NRL and quality assurance in the laboratory.

For those who are unfamiliar with the NRL, the About Us and Our Staff pages provide general information including our Mission Statement, Objectives, staff profiles and contact details. Once acquainted with the NRL, users can access more detailed information in the Quality Assurance Programme section. The Members area allows programme participants and registered persons to view selected Specificity Monitoring, Quality Control and External Quality Assessment Schemes results and examine current serology news and information. The Publications and Presentations page ensures that the NRL's peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, monthly news letter, and annual reports are readily available. The Events section supplies details of forthcoming NRL workshops as well as national and international conferences and seminars.

The Hot Items page is updated regularly to reflect the latest serology news and research, and the Resources & Guildelines/Links page gives users access to valuable additional information and to numerous serology and quality assurance-related links. The International Activities area provides recent information on selected international activities in which the NRL is involved, including WHO collaborations, fellowships, educational activities and publications. Development of the site with links to NRL applications EDCNet and DigitalPT enables Quality Assurance Programme participants to submit results for Quality Control and External Quality Assessment Schemes directly to the NRL.

The NRL Web Site has been designed to inform and assist all members of the national and international serology community. Thus, we welcome any comments or suggestions that would help improve the site. A Contact/Feedback form is provided on-line.
