Frank joined the NRL as a laboratory assistant in 1998. In this capacity, he is responsible for various maintenance duties in the laboratory and assists in specimen reception and Tertiary Reference Testing. Frank has written an NRL protocol entitled "Autoclaving of Dangerous Goods and Sterilisation of Lab Equipment." He is also IATA qualified for national and international shipping of infectious goods. Frank has recently undertaken a role as one of the NRL's internal auditors.
Recently Frank has completed a course at the Box Hill Institute which enables him to test and tag all the portable electrical equipment at the NRL.

Frank's previous working experience includes 10 years as a Lab Technician for Goodyear Tyres and Rubber Co., holding a Gaming license in the hospitality industry and working as a manager of a Coles supermarket. Frank is also a qualified hairdresser, at one time owning his own hairdressing salon and has also worked managing a bottle shop and his own mixed business.

An accomplished musician and artist, Frank has played in bands over the last 25 years, paints in oils and acrylics and is fluent in Italian. Frank also likes fishing and watching Australian rules football - go the Bombers!
