Tertiary Reference Testing (TRT) Team

The members of the TRT perform the core laboratory work carried out by the NRL. Their responsibilities include confirmatory testing, both serological and molecular, for HIV, HCV and HTLV. In addition, the TRT team performs the laboratory functions associated with test kit evaluations, and the Quality Control (QC) and External Quality Assessment Schemes (EQAS). The TRT team is involved with the characterisation and maintenance of samples in the NRL Sample Bank, as well as being responsible for the shipment of panels and samples from the NRL.
