Before joining the NRL, Lena has completed a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Microbiology
and Genetics.

Lena worked at Gribbles Pathology for five years as a Laboratory technician
and a medicial Scientist within the Serology Department, working extensively
with veterinary serology.

In 2002, Lena joined the NRL as a Scientist within the Tertiary
Reference testing team Her responsibilities include confirmatory testing, evaluation testing, Quality Control (QC) and External Quality Assessment Schemes (EQAS) production and shipping.

Lena enjoys going for walks, reading novels and socializing with friends.
